Don’t Forget the Landing Net

Offer quality nets to customers and they will thank you later

Don’t Forget the Landing Net

Too many heart-breaking memories and stories of tournaments lost are born from the lack of one item: a good landing net.

You can help customers by offering a variety of quality options for different species and applications. Put some thought into what the customer will use and ask them about their typical fishing style. Getting some details like the targeted species of fish and whether the net will be stored in a boat or used for shore fishing will help you point them in the right direction.

Highlighted below are a few new and popular options from a variety of manufacturers. Each of these companies offers a number of other landing nets in different styles and sizes.

Frabill recently launched the Trophy Haul line of landing nets with four specific models: the Bear Claw, Trophy Haul Power Extend, Trophy Haul Manual Extend and Trophy Haul Predator. Each net includes Lockdown asymmetrical flat-bottomed netting and a MeshGuard hoop. The MeshGuard hoop prevents the net bag from being exposed on the hoop and adds structural strength and rigidity. Made from high-quality aluminum, Trophy Haul nets are suitable for both freshwater and saltwater.

The Trophy Haul Manual Extend features three different hoop sizes to accommodate a customer’s favorite target species whether it’s trout, panfish, walleye, bass, redfish, catfish, northern or muskie. The 48-inch handle is slide-adjustable for a compact profile while stowed. MSRP: $99.99

The Trophy Haul Power Extend includes the same size specifications as the Manual Extend with an added push-button handle extension. The adjustable handle length ranges from 38- to 72-inches long and is adjusted in one shift motion. The handle is engineered with a sturdy yoke system to land heavy fish without stressing the net even at full extension. MSRP: $159.99

Rounding out the Trophy Haul line up is the Bearclaw This is the smallest net in the series at only 18 inches in total length. The handle is designed for one-arm operation, making it a good choice for canoe, kayak and paddle board anglers. MSRP: $79.99
